Where do you start to choose from the various resources aimed at helping people that are struggling with the QTS Numeracy Skills Test? This is one of the most important questions to consider as early as possible when you are trying to improve your numeracy skills and gain confidence in Maths.

As many people know (or discover after failing their first test) the DfE tests online are no longer a good representation of the actual test. However it is still important to be able to do most of the questions in these tests but consideration of other questions and topics is essential too.

Unfortunately many of the more established online websites with resources (usually practice tests) have not been updated for many years. Obviously many books purporting to help with the test are also considerably outdated.

One of the main advantages of online resources (rather than books) is that they can be updated, amended and improved, as the need arises, to take account of any new questions or topics that come up in the real test.

Here at TeachMeMaths we keep up to date by running a large Facebook group (around 1800 members currently). Feedback from students taking the test allows us to have the most up to date resources available anywhere and continually tweak and improve the videos, practice questions and tests that are available.

Please be aware of competitors that claim to be up to date or who claim that the test hasn't changed at all in the last 2-3 years. Ask them when they last updated the materials and which new topics and questions are included before using their materials.

If you would like to join the Facebook group to keep up to date yourself (and to be able to get help from fellow student's and me) please click this link qtsgroup
